Square Enix wants you to join the war effort.
The free-to-play, massive-scale WWII shooter and strategy game Heroes & Generals has entered open beta, publisher Square Enix has announced.
The game is developed by Reto-Moto and features a mix of FPS and RTS elements. You can play as a “Hero”, fighting your way through trenches, flying planes, driving tanks and getting into the heat of battle; or play as a “General”, strategizing for the war and managing resources, army units and reinforcements.
In addition, Square Enix has also announced the launch of its Heroes & Generals: Mobile Command app for iOS and Android. The app gives you a “live overview of your active campaign” and allows you to “observe battlefields, supply lines and assault teams in real-time.”
You can learn more about Heroes & Generals and sign up for the open beta by going to the game’s official website.
