Capcom is partnering with Tencent Games to produce a F2P Monster Hunter MMO.
Capcom and Tencent Games have announced Monster Hunter Online, a free-to-play MMORPG spin-off of Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise.
MMO Culture reports that Capcom is developing the game using Crytek’s CryEngine 3 and that the game is set for a June closed beta release in China. Capcom hasn’t announced any plans to release Monster Hunter Online to other regions, but considering that its last MMO effort Monster Hunter Frontier Online never saw an international release, it’s hard to say if we’ll ever get the game.
