Navy Field 2 Closed Beta Kicks Off March 27

Nexon takes to the seas with its latest MMORTS.

Massively-multiplayer real-time strategy game Navy Field 2 will kick off its first beta test later this month. Players in North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Israel can try out the seafaring WWII MMO from March 27 until April 10.

You can sign up to take part in Navy Field 2′s closed beta on its official website. If you’re selected for the closed beta then you’ll be notified on the 21st. Players who take part in the beta test will be rewarded with an exclusive in-game item.

If you live in Europe, then you might want to check out Navy Field 2 EU instead, which recently concluded its “P.E.T. (Public Evaluation Test)” testing event and is now preparing for open beta.

Game synopsis from the press release:

Navy Field 2 is a free-to-play MMORTS that puts players at the helm of naval armadas comprised of warships from World War I & II. As ship captains, players plunge into action-packed naval battles where strategy and tactics are key to destroying the enemy. Navy Field 2 features intense naval engagements on an epic scale for up to 64 players in 32-player vs. 32-player battles.

Navy Field 2 players will be able to choose from more than 500 ships from a variety of nations to create their own fleet. Ships include cruisers, destroyers and battleships. Players will be able to customize the ships in their fleet, including upgrades to a multitude of weapons, fire control systems, engines and armor.
