Cult classic action puzzle game Lumines: Puzzle & Music will be launching for iOS and Android devices on September 1. The game will be available worldwide, and will be priced at $ 3. You can watch the game’s trailer in the embedded video.
It looks like Puzzle & Music brings back the series’ trademark colourful aesthetic and electronic soundtrack. It’s been a while since a new game has been released for the mainline Lumines series, the last being Lumines Electronic Symphony published by Ubisoft in 2012 and released exclusively for the PlayStation Vita.
Lumines: Puzzle & Music was initially soft-launched in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. The game will feature both new and classic tracks, including the classic “Shinin” by Mondo Grosso. Players can unlock various skins which change the game board’s music and visuals by progressing through levels. The game will be playable at PAX West, at GameSamba’s booth. Attendees can also enter a raffle for Lumines prizes.
GameSpot will be covering PAX West, so be sure to check back on site for news from the show floor!
